August Update / Gaydon 2010

Well the time had come for the big event of the year the BMW festival held at the Heritage Motor Center in Gaydon, Warwickshire, we have been building up to this for a few weeks with getting banners ready, names on the list and booking the stand, the day before come but unfortunately the weather wasn’t playing ball which was a nightmare for the guys that wanted to get cleaning their cars in preparation for the next day, but in between the rain and using car covers everyone managed to get the them polished and looking fantastic ready for the show and UberMpower stand,
Bob Ford (marshal) for the day had arranged all the tickets so we all decided to meet up at the services early that morning and enjoy a spirited drive in convoy down to the show, we weren’t the only ones as everywhere you looked there were BMW’s heading for the same, we arrived on time and headed for our forum stand which was located in a lovely spot on the grass, we managed to squeeze all the cars into what at the time looked an impossible space, but after some clever manoeuvring we got the Uber M cars placed in a perfect line with room to carry out the final polishing for the day,

After everyone had finished grooming their pride and joy and we put up the UberMpower.co.uk banners we all decided to go and look at what was on offer and what can i say there was every shape, model and series of BMW’s in its history from some gorgeous classic 3.0ltr CSL’s, 2002’s and E30 M3’s to the latest BMW’s offerings a stunning X6 right outside the front of the center, as you can see from the pictures the weather was amazing and so were the cars, from forum and club stand onto the next there was some beautiful machinery to look at, some very rare examples and some not so but all cherished by their owners and some very individual modified creations to,

With somewhere in the region of 4000 cars, the vendors selling everything you could possibly need or want for your BMW and the Heritage Motor Centre the day was a full and very enjoyable one,

There isn’t enough room on here for me to talk about all the cars on show but for me some of the best were the 3.0ltr CSL’s, E36 M3 GT’s and some classic E34 M5’s including Neil’s black beast on our stand, there was also a record attempt for the most Z3 Coupe in one place which by the looks of it they pulled off without any trouble, if you have a passion for BMW’s there is nowhere else in the world where you will see so many and such a variety of BMW’s and a bonus of the Heritage Center itself which has lots of cars on show of every make and model throughout history,

A very well organized event by the BWW Car Club and i would recommend it to anyone that hasn’t been before, from all the forum stands to the car club region stands and everything else on offer it was a great day out, i must make a special thank you to everyone from the site that attended the UberMpower stand with their beautiful M Division cars which made it possible to be an actual part of the event, i would also like to thank our forum co-owner Russ Hatliff and our moderator and marshal for the day Bob Ford for making it happen!

Here’s to the 14th August 2011 for the next BMW Festival and a bigger & better UberMpower forum stand, hope you all come and check out the event and come over and say hello at our stand.
