The new year has come and gone and we are well and truly into 2011 already,
Doesn't time fly!
So after a slow month I haven't done half the jobs i needed to do on ÜberV2, there has been some testing to make sure I'm removing any bugs and everything on there so far seems to be working a treat, but still a long way to go, here is a little snap shot of another NEW feature... which is a "Gallery"
Main Gallery
This is the main gallery page where you can view and access any and all pictures uploaded to the site, it shows random and most recent images uploaded, under each image there are options to view the album the image is in, view uploaders personal gallery and leave a comment on the image where you can also rate the picture,
The images open in a lightbox where there are options to view images in a slideshow, show the original size when picture was uploaded and scroll through each image manually, there are lots of other features within the Gallery and the users control panel like View Exif-Data by default or Subscribe favorite images and more,
Personal Gallery
This is the personal gallery where you can save your pictures in different albums that you have created, store all your favorite pictures on site where others can enjoy them to,
Lightbox Feature
This is a board wide feature not just in the gallery, all pictures uploaded or linked to anywhere on the site will open this way, the image opens in a pop-up window and the rest of the page becomes a shadow background, no new tabs etc...
I want to have V2 ready in the next couple of months, there are other influences for me to leave it that long, more on that nearer the time but sooner the better although i'm not complaining about having that extra time to be honest there is still a ways to go before its finished, I'll update you on even more new features, styles and hopefully a 'live' preview of what you can aspect for ÜberV2 soon,

Sep/Oct/Nov/Dec Update.....Time Fly's
Well as the title suggests time has flown by, no excuses just slacking on the updates so sorry about the delay,
So whats happened in the last couple of months well to be honest not a great deal, with the event/show season now over and the winter setting in its a real quite time of year, the site continues to grow.... slowly but surely and there is a real good buzz and atmosphere on site now with a great member base, plenty are active contributing to technical topics, asking questions, helping out others and also having a good banter,
On another note its coming up to a year nearly since we started Über and I'm thinking where do we go from here, onwards and upwards of course but what can i do to mix things up a bit and keep the site fresh, so I've come up with a bold plan which is ÜberMpower V2. its all very hush hush right now so cant say a great deal but as things develop i will post up some more info and as soon as its announced I'll fill you in with the changes,
Here to wet your appetites is a little screen shot of what ÜberV2 looks like right now,
So watch this space as there are loads of great New features coming for ÜberV2
Take care and hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Year,
Here is to a better year for all of us in 2011

August Update / Gaydon 2010

Well the time had come for the big event of the year the BMW festival held at the Heritage Motor Center in Gaydon, Warwickshire, we have been building up to this for a few weeks with getting banners ready, names on the list and booking the stand, the day before come but unfortunately the weather wasn’t playing ball which was a nightmare for the guys that wanted to get cleaning their cars in preparation for the next day, but in between the rain and using car covers everyone managed to get the them polished and looking fantastic ready for the show and UberMpower stand,
Bob Ford (marshal) for the day had arranged all the tickets so we all decided to meet up at the services early that morning and enjoy a spirited drive in convoy down to the show, we weren’t the only ones as everywhere you looked there were BMW’s heading for the same, we arrived on time and headed for our forum stand which was located in a lovely spot on the grass, we managed to squeeze all the cars into what at the time looked an impossible space, but after some clever manoeuvring we got the Uber M cars placed in a perfect line with room to carry out the final polishing for the day,
After everyone had finished grooming their pride and joy and we put up the UberMpower.co.uk banners we all decided to go and look at what was on offer and what can i say there was every shape, model and series of BMW’s in its history from some gorgeous classic 3.0ltr CSL’s, 2002’s and E30 M3’s to the latest BMW’s offerings a stunning X6 right outside the front of the center, as you can see from the pictures the weather was amazing and so were the cars, from forum and club stand onto the next there was some beautiful machinery to look at, some very rare examples and some not so but all cherished by their owners and some very individual modified creations to,
With somewhere in the region of 4000 cars, the vendors selling everything you could possibly need or want for your BMW and the Heritage Motor Centre the day was a full and very enjoyable one,
There isn’t enough room on here for me to talk about all the cars on show but for me some of the best were the 3.0ltr CSL’s, E36 M3 GT’s and some classic E34 M5’s including Neil’s black beast on our stand, there was also a record attempt for the most Z3 Coupe in one place which by the looks of it they pulled off without any trouble, if you have a passion for BMW’s there is nowhere else in the world where you will see so many and such a variety of BMW’s and a bonus of the Heritage Center itself which has lots of cars on show of every make and model throughout history,
A very well organized event by the BWW Car Club and i would recommend it to anyone that hasn’t been before, from all the forum stands to the car club region stands and everything else on offer it was a great day out, i must make a special thank you to everyone from the site that attended the UberMpower stand with their beautiful M Division cars which made it possible to be an actual part of the event, i would also like to thank our forum co-owner Russ Hatliff and our moderator and marshal for the day Bob Ford for making it happen!
Here’s to the 14th August 2011 for the next BMW Festival and a bigger & better UberMpower forum stand, hope you all come and check out the event and come over and say hello at our stand.

June/July Update!
Well its been a stressful couple of weeks/months to say the least, the site has gone through 2 hosts and is on its 3rd and hopefully last, the first host managed to delete the whole site off the server which caused no end of trouble and the 2nd host lasted 6 days before it went down, after 12hrs i started looking for a new host, i didn't hear from the host for 18hrs and they said 24/7 support....yeah right!
The new host is u.k based with a hot line and i have access to everything which i didn't with the previous hosts, so we been so busy sorting out the site with missing posts and all sorts of bugs due to not having a complete backup from previous host and i haven't got much news other than this really, although we have managed in the mayhem organize a club/forum stand at Gaydon Heritage Center at the BMW Festival which is the largest gathering of BMW's in the world so looking forward to that next month (15th August) so will report how that all went after then, i'm sure it will be a blast if the last time we all met up is anything to go by!

ÜberMpower Update April
Well another month has flown by, after the success of the central area meet we are know thinking of the next one and making it bigger and better which will be a tall order as we had a great time @ Bobs BBQ (many thanks Bob) ....To see the great day you can either check out the UberMpower channel on You Tube or check out the site topic here: http://ubermpower.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=699
So whats been happening since well we have had a steady stream of new members and recently we had MaxxUK (Malcolm) join up who is very much into motorsport and is a qualified ARDS instructor, so anyone thinking of getting involved in motorsport he has a wealth of knowledge which along with Matt Seldon (GTR) and Steve Gill (CSL Cup) racers we are well and truly covered for everything motorsport!
So we have now got 130 Members, nearly 10,000 Posts & 1000 Topics so things are moving along and we are very happy with what we have achieved so far,
When the article about the site and now possibly an article about the ÜberMeet goes out in the edition of Total BMW then this will no doubt bring in lots of new members and give us some great exposure, so keep an eye out in the web watch section for the site article and look out for our Milton Keynes ÜberMeet in a issue of TBMW very soon!
Many Thanks for reading our blog and see you @ ubermpower.co.uk

UberMpower.co.uk Update!
Little update about whats been going on at UberMpower,
Its been just over 2 months since we opened our doors and we just had our 100th member join up which i'm very happy about and is a great achievement i think,
Other things going on at the moment is our first official site Meet which is the central area UberMpower Meet @ Milton Keynes on the 27th of March 2010, our moderator Luck Bob's is very generously hosting a BBQ at his office premises and we are all looking forward to meeting everyone, enjoying some food and drink and checking out some ///M's,
Also UberMpower's co-owner M3Russ is writing a editorial about the site which will be in the May addition of Performance BMW magazine which is one of the largest dedicated U.K BMW magazines out on the shelves so this is very exciting for the site and will hopefully encourage lots of passionate ///M owners to join our community, i will update the blog once the magazine is out sometime in April.
